Upgrade to Custom Roman Shades for Homes
In California, we have an appreciation for shades that is quite important, no matter where you are in the state. However, for such an important staple in the life of an average California citizen. Most of our residents are able to utilize the shades that were left in the home that they currently reside in, however, those shades have been there since the early ’80s. There are some panels missing, its color definitely used to be the complete opposite of whatever it is now, and the parts that are left are cracked all over. While we love antiques, that uh… that just doesn’t seem to fit the bill. This summer, our team at Blind Corners has picked out what we think you should put up in your windows instead; Hunter Douglas Vignette® Modern Roman Shades.
Roman-style shades have been around forever, but we believe that Hunter Douglas Vignette® Modern Roman Shades are the best modern style. They are fluid and beautiful cascading into their own folds, one right after the other. There is a lack of the clattering of the plastic pulleys against the window frame and getting confused constantly over which cord does what. These are able to be customized in any way you would like them, which is often not the case with classic roman shades. While we agree that the style is perfect on its own, we also know that modern shades don’t have to follow big box store rules. Vignette® Modern Roman Shades are offered in a gorgeous and massive variety of fabrics, colors, textures, and more. Some of the fabrics included are linens, tweed, silks, natural woven woods, woven fibers, and so much more. However, those materials are not the only fabrics available for the roman shades. These gorgeous fabrics feature designs at the height of luxury and elegance. Once you have settled on which fabric you would prefer, you can then decide how exactly you would like your roman shade to be styled. Hunter Douglas has two signature foldings for the roman shades; The Rolling Style and The Stacking Style. The Rolling Style rolls up to the headrail of the window and has the option of either a 4” fold or a 6 '' gorgeous flat fold. The Stacking Style creates a perfect 4” fold and is able to disappear behind the headrail when they are raised up.
